Cuy in the market
Today we returned from Taray. After we had lunch at the house we tried to go to the Tipon ruins, but we couldn’t find the right bus (we were at the wrong bus stop) so we decided to walk around the city instead. We walked through a market and saw Cuy (guinea pig) up close (see picture). Then we went to The Cusco Center of Native Art and saw people doing traditional dancing to traditional music. We also got to see the traditional clothing.
Hello Camille,
ReplyDeleteAgain, many thanks for the fabulous photos and all the info for the armchair travellers, like me. You must be getting into tip-top aerobic condition at whatever altitude you are, hiking through all the ruins. What is your elevation? Also, how hot is it? You seem to be wearing lots of jackets, since I assume it is early winter there.
You are more courageous than most, eating guinea pig! love Aunt Janet
